These one of a kind vintage textiles - called frazadas - are handwoven in the Andes Mountains of Bolivia and Peru since pre- hispanic times, and used to protect against the high altitude cold.
Hand woven in traditional looms in two separate pieces which are then sewn together in the middle. This central stitching shows decorative details and colours that accentuate the beauty of the fabric.
Hand made from sheep’s wool and coloured with natural dyes; frazadas can be used as a rug, or a colour accent on a sofa or chair, throws or bed coverings, wall hangings or even picnic blankets! However you choose to use yours we are convinced the colour, texture and peculiarity of each piece will make the perfect compliment to your home.
Each piece is unique and full of character; every new thread, each colour tells a story.
There may be imperfections, small stains or some signs of use due to vintage nature of this product, intensifying it’s character and personality. Please feel free to ask questions before purchase.
